Jake is going to the vet. Not only because he had a few little crusties in his eye but He came to us with skin problems and we thought it was because of vit c and we never really saw him scratch but not too long ago we saw him scratching like mad and decided he needs to see a vet. Just in case.

So I am going to hope its nothing.

Poor baby. Is he housed with anyone else? I made an appointment for one pig but ended up taking in all three because I was nervous. Doctor ended up putting them all on meds, since they're housed together, so it worked out I guess.

That's good! I'm about to take in my rescue guys on Monday- They're quarantined but I live in a one bedroom apartment, so I don't think it'd do as much as it should. I see some eye and nose crusties on them, my trio is on antibiotics right now, I REALLY am hoping I don't end up with a vicious circle!

Do you have another vet to possibly take him to?? Guinea pigs have potential to go downhill pretty fast and I'd be concerned waiting too long.

No thats the only vet I know about that will treat small animals.
But now I give him extra bell pepper for vit c.

Any tips till he goes to the vet?

He is eating and drinking lots and compared to charlie he is a pig.

He is back from the vet and is going again in one week.
turns out is was very bad.
He is being treated for mites and ringworm.

He thew such a fit that the vet needed to restrain him!
