Ohh, Hawise....I'm so sorry. i was hoping this thread would end well. I know you miss him, but try to keep picturing him at Rainbow Bridge popcorning in the clover fields, happy and healthy and reunited with Sir Lancelot. He's eating all he wants now cause he feels so much better! My Coco and Sunshine are playing with him, too. And talk to him cause he can hear you now!

Hawise, I am so sorry. You really fought hard for him. I know that it doesn't make it easier, but I hope that you can find some comfort in that fact.

This is what I keep repeating myself. He's with Sir Lancelot now, and they are probably exchanging stories on the female humans who would insist on bathing them and cut their hair, hehe.

Thank you Toadies, thank you so much. I know the vet and nurses did all they could too. It seems this porr little chap never had a fighting chance in this world: he was abused and starving before being rescued and it left him so frail. I hope he was happy. He would certainly be amazed to see how many people were thinking about him.

We will have him cremated. When I feel ready, I will post a picture and a message about him in the "In Memory" picture album.

I'm sorry for your loss as well. I've lost pigs before, it's very rough... I will attempt to make a poem in Gizzy like fashion in his memory.

We miss you much, the pain is very bad,
but we'll always remember the times we had.

from this cold world you've been released

Oh thank you so much Tessa. It is a lovely poem and it made me cry. Galahad was betrayed so many times by humans and now he has all these lovely people writing kind messages and even writing poems about him.

Oh that poem made me cry too! He must have been a great little pig. I am so glad that you were able to get him to the vet even though he didn't pull through :( He had a great life with you even if it was only for a short amount of time. My prayers are with you- and Galahad, rest in peace :)

Galahad's ordeal totally made me tear up. I'm so sorry you lost him. He was very lucky to have someone who cared so much and worked so hard for him in his last days.
