My two newly adopted boars have lice. I'm going to treat them(and also the girls, just to be safe) with Ivermectin tonight (with another round in a week) The box I have is black, and says Ivomec (ivermectin) injection for cattle and swine. 1% sterile solution (thanks again for it, Africa :D ) I think I've done the dosage calculations correctly, but I was hoping someone could tell me for sure. Jeffrey-1.114 kg-0.06 ccs Roger -1.102 kg-0.06 ccs Fat Rita-1.088 kg- 0.05 ccs Deborah-1.130 kg- 0.06 ccs Barbara- 1.097 kg- 0.05 ccs Mary- .821 kg - 0.04 ccs Diane- .802 kg - 0.04 ccs Sue - 1.038 kg - 0.05 ccs They haven't been dosed yet, since I wanted to be certain I had everything correct first. I confess I'm rather nervous about it too. |

That looks right to me. For a 1kg pig you should give 0.05ccs topically. |

OK! Today the piggies are getting their second doses. I don't know why I was so nervous..... its so easy and they don't even notice what I'm doing! :D Another question. how many doses should they have to ensure that all the icky, ucky creepy crawlies are gone? I don't want to give too many doses, but of course I want to make sure that I give enough! |
