After a long week in southern California Sebastian seems to be doing great. His eye has cleared up and today is his last day of antibiotics. I think he liked to car ride because he was in my moms lap the whole time. |

Yes, except I'm the sick one now and I have to be very careful with all the piggies. I got to work tomorrow and my mom is watching them and she is sick too. |

Well Sebastian was back at the vet today. He's now been prescribed Vibramycin. Hopefully it works. Obviously he'll be on a probiotic as well. I'll be giving 1.2cc twice a day, so wish me luck as that's a lot of meds to push into this fiesty little booger. |

Lucky hates taking meds too. She likes the syringe if there's water in it but hates the taste of meds. |

You've got one hard headed pig. Maybe all that hair around is head is preventing him from considering that meds are good. |

Some of my pigs are difficult with syringes, but others LOVE them (even filled with bad-tasting meds). I don't even have to take the ones who love syringes out of the cage. I call the one pig over, show her the syringe, and she runs up and puts it in the right spot in her mouth, and I slowly inject the medication. It's crazy, they think it's like a special treat. So I can't REALLY empathize with what you are going through... but good luck with that beautiful boy! |

So my sweet little Sebastian has been doing pretty well with taking his antibiotics. I'm working and my mom is watching Sebastian and she is giving him his medication. In a text message I asked her how it's all going and this was her response, "He was a terror, I have to change my technique." So I guess he's starting to officially feel better. I'll know tomorrow morning when I get home. |

hope that he gets better and stays well! and lol he sounds like a fiesty one. Mine aren't too horrible with giving meds. They don't want to give the syringe back. It must be their way of saying 'if I don't give it back she won't give me that yucky stuff again'. |

Sebastian was acting like he was feeling better. Today is his 13th day on the antibiotics and he's still got a crusty eye and discharge from his nose. He will be seeing the vet again. I have no idea what the vet is going to do or what the heck is wrong. This is all beginning to get very frustrating. |
