Question Odd Stuff Going on With Prince

Well Tonight I let prince out of his cage along with thrall to sit on there pillow on my bed to relax and every time i tried to pet prince he would jump or try to get away while squealing ALOT! So I decide to leave prince alone and was playing with Thrall and looked over at the pillow and prince was sqeualing and kind of jumping then he stopped looked at me and scury over to me and snuggle up against my arm. I'm kind of concerned and when my check clears tommorow I will be taking him to the vet Do you guys have any ideal what could be wrong?
He has no Runny noise or Eyes no loss of hair or weight and his skin looks perfectly healthy.

Re: Odd Stuff Going on With Prince

Where did you get Prince and Thrall?

If they came from a home where they were unwanted and/or a pet store, they could have mites which makes the skin very sensitive (painful) to touch.

If that's the case, they should be treated for mites. Search this website, and GuineaLynx for information on the symptoms of mites and treatment.

Don't have the vet do a skin scraping. It's very painful for the pig and most of the time, innaccurate. We automatically treat all of our rescues for mites (symptoms or no symptoms).

What breed of pig is Prince? Some pigs just don't like being petted or touched in certain areas.

It could be mites as well.
