Is my gp to large Hi my gp rooney is 3 weeks old to day but i worry as he is already half the size of his parents who are 6 months old (Previous posts explain they were brought as girls to discover one was male and one was female) Rooney weighs in at about 8 to 9 ounces his parents weigh 14 to 15 ounces. ![]()

Re: Is my gp to large If the parents are really not even a pound, then they most certainly are not 6 months. They're just babies themselves.

Re: Is my gp to large Really when i got them i was told they were around eight weeks old making them six months about now. I feed tham fresh veg twice aday and they have a dry mix as well with plenty of fresh hay. We dont have any good cavy vets locally but i honestly thought they were in good condition. How much should they weigh. They are eating and drinking plenty.
