Pfizer and Ivoado????

I took my pig to the vet and he prescribed my pig pfizer for the second time and ivoado too. I was wondering if anybody have ever heard of those drugs.

What does the label on the bottle say?

You may need to find an actual exotics vet.

The bottles just say the given amount I must give my pig. One bottle says .3m Ivoade not ivoado.

What are the meds supposed to be for? Mites?

He said he had only one mite, however, he has me changing the my guinea's bedding from pine to fleece to make sure he is not allergic to the bedding and the vet doesn't want me to wash him with any shampoo so we can make sure his dry skin is just from the mite.

Those meds won't treat for mites and they don't just get 'one mite'.

You need to find a more knowledgable cavy vet and get ivermectin.

I'm not positive, but ivoade may be an off brand or another name of ivomec.

Pfizer is a large manufacturer of drugs. I looked up Ivoade but found nothing either. Try calling your vets office and asking exactly what this drug is.
