I hope this in the right place and if not you can move it. So a couple of months ago I adopted a guinea pig and she had really bad nails that were literally side ways cause the owner never clipped there nails and I have been trying to fix it but its not working. does anyone know how to fix this or is it just unfixable? Thanks ahead for all of the replies! P.S. I can post a picture if you need to see her nails if you need it.

Re: nasty nails! Clip a bit off her nails, frequently. Be careful not to clip the quick, the pinkish blood vessel.

Re: nasty nails! Sorry, but are your piggies nails still long, or just growing the wrong way? Sorry if I misread!

Re: nasty nails! Okay thats good to know. I just didn't want it to be like secretly causing her pain, or anything.

Re: nasty nails! Sorry, misread post and thought your pig still had long nails. They probably started getting sideways because they had never been trimmed. Just try to keep them short from now on.
