| can guinea pigs get pink eye? My bf, who handles the guinea pig regularly, just found out that one of the guys he has regular, and semi close contact at work, has pink eye. This guy was in work yesterday with it but though that he just had something in his eye because he did not wake up with the irritation. Today he found out that it is indeed pink eye. There is a good chance that my bf may be getting pink eye (no visible signs yet) so I want to know if guinea pigs can get pink eye and if there are any extra precautions we can take besides washing our hands before handling them. |

| Re: can guinea pigs get pink eye? Yes they can get pink eye. Pink eye is also referred to as Inflamed Conjunctiva or Conjunctivitis. |
