I am THRILLED! I know it’s scary but it really is the right choice.

Puddles sits alone in his cage wondering why we took his female away but, like you all said, is it really worth it? losing another pig? |
once again ~thrilled~ ! So many people don’t even bother considering good advice given. You took the time and heart to sit with your pig, look in her eyes and realize that the situation was not in her best interest. After Puddles operation and the 2-3 week make-sure-all-the-sperm-are-dead period they can be reintroduced. If you have a C&C cage for them you can separate it with a grid wall so they can still see and hear each other.

Chalk it up as a bad idea and move on. Use your knowledge to help dissuade others from breeding when they show up here.

Absolutely, it’s a great idea. Every little bit helps. The best anti-breeding arguments I ever heard came from people who used to breed and either realized their mistake or started rescuing.
