Is this a joke?! The most ridiculous "cage" I've seen in my life!

To give you a brief rundown of the product, they are pretty much selling a square piece of metal sheeting on a stand. They claim "our patent pending cage design is revolutionizing Guinea Pig Care". THIS "CAGE" HAS NO WALLS!

If you go on to read the whole listing it is truly appalling, especially the part on what to do if your guinea pig happens to jump off. To top it all off they are selling it for $149.95 USD.

I stumbled across this while searching for a guinea pig calendar for the new year. I'm honestly so shocked, I'm at a lose for words. At the moment, I just feel for the poor pigs that are living on this "thing" (I really can't think of anything else to call it).

Your thoughts?

Perhaps double check if the url is ebay.com with no other country abbreviations after it.
I would post a link, but you are not allowed to post direct links to cages. Although I would think this one bypasses that rule...

OMG!! I typed it into google and I saw it! And it was 300 dollars! Is that a HOLE in the middle for them to go toilet in??!! How could somebody do that to a guinea pig??!!

Some more curious guinea pigs will look over the edge and may even jump down to the ground. Simply place them back in the cage. This may happen a couple times in the first week while they are adjusting to the new environment and should stop quickly"

WTH?! Maybe if someone emails Ebay they can remove it. As an active Ebayer myself, I investigated the seller and discovered that not one of these have been sold. In fact, the seller has not sold anything since 2002. Besides the obvious safety hazard to piggies, I think the price is ridiculous!

I was thinking we should perhaps mass email eBay or the seller. It was such a relief to see that none had been sold. Although from the photos the seller has up, it looks like they're using it as their pigs home.

That is insane! I emailed the seller. I really hope they quit trying to sell this thing. Aside from the danger of falls and injuries, I can't imagine guinea pigs living on a piece of metal with only a half pvc pipe to cuddle up in.

Piggies need soft cuddly things to walk on! This is absurd and a falling hazard to boot. I emailed the seller today, expressing my concerns. I don't expect to hear back, but I'll let ya'll know if I do.

They must be joking! It sure doesn't look like they are, but who wouldn't realize THIS IS THE MOST STUPID THING EVER! By me saying stupid, I'm including dangerous, absurd, crazy, and a million other words in that!

Edit:Not to mention the obvious dangers, there are holes in the bottom by the house for 'gravity to clean the cage' or whatever he said, and the pigs could easily break their legs in that, before they fall of the 'cage'!

I thought pigs were like hamsters to where they have no depth perception and a 6 foot fall looks like a 2 inch fall? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Imagine, the seller (as no one has bought it) put there pigs on (not in!) this 'cage' and they tried to popcorn or run laps, I'm not sure about pigs, but my rabbits are spaztic when they start up, they don't care what's in there way!

Edit again: And whats up with those pigs sleeping in those pipes?! I thought they like to cuddle! That is not natural! Oh, but they have such cute little houses (SARCASM!)!
