A few weeks ago I reported a pet store because of the living conditions of 2 rabbits and 3 guinea pigs living in a tiny cage. Dirty looking orange water,no bedding,very little hay and so on. Today on my way back from town with my 4 yr old I stopped by the store to see if anything was done. Bliss,no piggies no rabbits. Instead  we saw a clear plastic cage with baby mice. The shop owner was cleaning it out and commenting to his fellow worker that they were born a week or so ago.The guy took out one baby mouse and the mouse jumped and ended up on the floor. My mouth fell open in horror and my daughter burst into tears. The baby was dead. It flipped around for a few seconds and died. The store guy said. Awh for gods sake it's just a mouse.  I actually wanted to vomit in the store. My knees went wobbly and i grabbed my daughter and ran out of the store.       |

What goes around comes around: this guy will have to pay up one day, one way or another. Some people have no respect for life, human or not. I'm sorry your little girl had to witness something like this.  |

This is yet another prime example of the arrogance and (for lack of a better word) stupidity of many petstore employees. Unfortunately, many of these people don't know any better, and simply believe everything that their manager tells them. It is just going to take alot of time, patience, and complaints to get it fixed. But if that is what it takes, then it should be done... |

Ah poor mouse! Your poor daughter! I has a mouse when I was about her age. The man in the pet shop gave it to my mam for free. It had a diaese or something. It died about a month or two later. I was heartbroken because it was my first pet. |

The poor little thing. The way that people treat animals is a good indicator on what kind of a person they are. How can people think they are better, I just don't understand it. I hope your daughter is okay, that was a horrible thing for her to see. I kept 2 mice when i was younger and I loved them so much. |
