seriously though, i'm just being logical, considering how his site is mocking animal rights activists, i doubt complaints will trouble him too greatly

Complaints to him directly probably won't bother him, but I imagine complaints to CafePress and PalPay should bother him greatly, if it cuts off his funds.

THAT'S SICK! I doubt he will eat it but if he does...Oh no... We must save this bunny! Im e-mailing and writing paypal! That's so sick dude or lady! I am writing cafe press too! Who's with me? Im sure they can do SOMETHING. He is probably as i said earlier NOT going to eat Toby and is probably trying to steal everyones money but still. Paypal and CafePress need to know!

Sparky, what kind of an attitude is that? We're trying our best, and even you said that we should be doing things instead of, ahem, whining (different word choice). I don't get why you contradict yourself so often, and I must admit that I am getting impatient.

mncavylover....It's because Sparky just says whatever the hell pops into his head. All he wants to do is get everyone all worked up. This has been proven over and over.

i'm all for action, but in a case like this, you'd need a large body of people complaining, only 10-20 of you have, and thats being generous

This website has been crossposted on numerous web groups, chat rooms, etc. It is on Guinea Lynx, and Etherbun just to name two I have seen in on. I know that many people have complained to Paypal and Cafepress (although I doubt Cafepress will do anything). It's not just 10-20 people it's much much more.

I have complained to Paypal each time this person's account is reopened. The problem is that "Save Toby" reopens his account with a slightly different name. He's not being reinstated by Paypal, he's slipping past their bans by changing his name and opening new accounts.

The complaints are working. It may still be a while before he gives up but it will happen. If you don't want to join in the effort to help close this site down that's fine, but please don't interfere with the effort.

People trying to do a good thing (whether you think it's useless or not) need encouragement. Without it they slip into apathy that extends to all areas. Then when a really noble or desperate cause comes up you find that no one wants to help.

Personally I'm proud of the mature way people have been handling this. They are going to the sources this person uses to make money and get attention while denying him the direct attention he craves. In all, closing him down completely is a longshot but one worth the effort.

OK...now we are getting somewhere. Someone from the OCCH rescue sent has made a little progress. This is the response she got from the ASPCA. They have given her permission to pass this along.

We were able to get a hold of the company the website "owner" is hiding through -- it's called Domains by Proxy, and this company makes it possible for this man running the site to be completely anonymous. In other words, Domains by Proxy is the representative for the site in order to protect the owner from being found out.

But the individual whose site it is is absolutely in violation of the
contract he signed with Domains by Proxy; we have the agreement here with us and he's transgressing all over the place. Our lawyer will be in touch with the company hopefully today.

In the meantime, could you contact the company and make them aware of
what's going on with savetoby? I'm asking everyone who's written us to do
this.

I dont know when this thread was started but I remember seeing this website when I was in high school...and that was over four years ago. I am sure the kid keeps changing the date as to when hes going to eat the bunny. Someone had told me to go to that link and I did and then smacked the kid who told me to go there...being he was a friend I could get away with smacking him. I hope that kid gets busted though and has to take down the site.

That "Save Toby" website has been going around for at least 2 years now - but the thing is, the "date of death" has changed (used to be for previous years). So someone is obviously maintaining this site - and still benifiting from the money people are willing to pay.
