Animal Welfare: MV says he's "Sorry!"-so what's he doing?

Michael Vick says that he's "working' with the ASPCA. Can anybody tell me anything that he's ACTUALLY DOING, except flapping his lips?! (I'm not sure where to post this, so if it's wrong, I'm sorry...but I'd seriously like to know cause I haven't heard anything.) The Animal Rights People disappointed me about this sick issue, too...alot of noise and protests for a couple weeks...now nothing. I live near Philly and the A.R.People had a big pow-wow with the Eagles a couple weeks ago and since then, not one single word of protest has been in the News...like they reached some secret hush-hush deal or agreement or something. Maybe the local News Media is just not reporting anything negative about their precious new football player, so if anybody knows anything...PLEASE!?! (For the record, I DESPISE the creep! The little bit of time he did in jail was hardly payment for what he did to those poor animals!)

This whole statement from the ASPCA sums up my thoughts perfectly. It's what I was trying to convey, though not very well, when I brought this topic up before.

Personally, whatever Vick is saying right now is just lip service as far as I'm concerned. Until I see meaningful contributions by him to end dog fighting, he is just doing what is expected of him by his PR people. Personally, anyone who is capable of committing the acts that he has isn't capable of compassion without a lot of hard work and therapy.

So he's NOT EVEN working with the ASPCA! That makes it even worse! Thanks, ferndalezoo, for the link to that article! It says it all pefectly. Why doesn't the media cover some of this stuff, instead of the stupid stuff it does? You should see the local Philly News...they're acting like MV is the second coming or something. The news starts with talking about him, ends with talking about him, they interrupt other shows for 'News Bulletins" about him...sickening!
