| Actually, it sounds more like her really d-u-m-b with a capital D of a husband killed it. SPCA exec's dog dies after being left in hot car - Life- msnbc.com I know everyone is human, but she is a freaken SPCA executive. And seriously......it takes her FOUR hours to get ready for work? This story is so confusing......does anybody understand what happened, like where the car was when the dog was killed? Also, the dog died at a vet clinic, but come on. Locked in a car in 91 degree F heat for four hours? Thats a guaranteed dead dog, whether it passes in the car or soon afterward. You can say that everybody makes mistakes, but what kind of mistake is not realizing that your dog is in the car????? That is not a mistake that everybody makes. Not in my book, anyways. |

That's really sad. Anyone (with a brain) knows that the temperature in a car can reach well above 100 degrees, even with shade and the windows cracked. How many times have these people gone to get in the car after it has been parked for a while on a hot day and went to grab the steering wheel and it is burning hot? And cats and dogs can sweat like we do to cool themselves off. I'm surprised no action has been taken. Too bad only 13 states have laws pertaining to leaving your animal in a motor vehicle (AZ, CA, IL, ME, MD, MN, NV, NH, NJ, ND, SD, VT, and WV). |
