There's this petstore where I come from that has this.. label on it from an organisation called Dibevo. The organisation states to make sure all animals come from good places and to stand for their wellfare. How serious can I take this? I'm wondering about this since it also states to stand up for Petstores, Animal Pensions, Garden-Centers, Wholesale Traders.. etc. |

From what I understand, Dibevo is a run-of-the-mill trade union for employees in the different areas you mentioned. It is independent of the employers so I would imagine that it is a good thing if they are bargaining as a union for better animal welfare. Before I would just blindly recommend them to you I'd suggest you contact them for a full debrief of how they are able to ensure the welfare of the animals! |

It appears to be an organization that represents pet store owners who sell animals, as well as other things. From their website: "Dibevo is for the interests of entrepreneurs in the domestic sector ... Our members enjoy many benefits of doing business in the industry ... " Dibevo - Home Any pet store that sells animals, in my opinion, is a bad one, no matter what sticker they might have in their window. |
