I think you honestly might want to analyze your involvement in these types of discussions, as I've said before. Stirring up internet battles isn't helping anyone, not even you. |

How could paula hav bashed them? DId you see the emails she sent? How do you know they were horrible and nasty? Could she have been exagerating...? ADorable, I do think you need to get a different hobby then stalking members and looking for flaws and starting figts. Either that or you need to change your username. P.S. Sorry for the spelling mistakes. I don't have my contacts in and it's late. |

If so, please share it. It's seems you'd be a fountain of ideas, since you're only posting here because you care so much about guinea pigs and rabbits. |

Mercifully, the Petfinder listings have been removed and I received a message from them stating that they'd find other options for these two. Thank you to all who opted to reply to the shelter and let them know it was a problem. |

Shall I make silly comments about road maps or can you go back and read what I suggested earlier in this thread? It's essentially the same thing, just more private and diplomatic. |

Really, Adorable, your nonsense is getting on my nerves. I'm tired of you always twisting everything anyone says, simply because we aren't doing things your way. You seem to be a lot more focused on arguing rather than actually helping the animals in question. *sighs* |

Adorable, I find it infinitely flattering that you can't seem to keep yourself away from my threads. However, the argumentative nature of your posts many times renders them useless and only serves as a distraction from the original issue. Please, for the benefit of readers skimming through these threads and so as not to discourage people who might actually wish to contribute something of value, reconsider whether or not you really *have* to post your nonsensical ramblings just so you can attempt at finding fault with me. Please. |

Which ones are your threads? I clicked on this one because I was curious about the worst thing someone (anyone) had seen and I was uncomfortable with the tone. It’s not the first time I’ve said that here. You asked me a direct question and I answered. How is that arguing? Unless, you really didn’t care to hear an answer and then I’d have wonder what your point was in asking, other than to give you another opportunity to say how I care sooooo much more about arguing than rabbits and guinea pigs. Hopefully one of the Mods will come along soon to close this thread, too, so no one will be tempted to address me directly and I won’t be tempted to respond. |

Perhaps you don't realize this, but you are tragically transparent and pitifully predictable. Quote:
Whoa. Profound. Not to mention, your "suggestion" from earlier was what was ALREADY BEING DONE. Quote:
The issue I started this thread over has been resolved, so please, for Heaven's sake, find someone else to e-stalk for a while and let this one go. Last edited by Paula; 02-16-09 at 10:06 am. Reason: Clarification |

HRS actually recommends housing them together for the most part, despite possible cross contamination, so the rabbit.org link doesn't help all the time. |

Isn't that a little...odd? They know the risks and they still suggest it? Has anyone tried to contact them? You's think they's know that since they are a highly respected organization.... |

It is odd, and unfortunate that there's conflicting information on the topic. Which is why it was a good thing to get several folks telling the shelter otherwise. I think anyway. |

There are less risks to the rabbit than the guinea pigs, unless the pigs are carrying bordatella. |

My local humane society, which I've grown to greatly respect, recently had a bonded pair (guinea pig/rabbit). I spoke with the workers there, all of whom I'm close to, and they said that the cavy/bunny pair came in together, and when they tried to separate them both stopped eating and started wasting away. Sometimes these things are just unavoidable. |

I have received a response from the shelter: "was asked to respond to your recent email to Greenhill Humane Society.Thank you for your thoughtful comments regarding your concerns about the rabbit and guinea pig pair. After a lot of review, evaluation and discussion we have separated the pair and will be adopting them separately. Barbara Ray Rabbit Volunteer " Good news! Please remember that you need to paraphrase emails and not just copy/paste them directly here. It can be considered a copyright violation to post someone's email without their permission. |
