| I was looking on Ebay just to see what they had and I soon discovered that people were actually putting clothes on Guinea Pigs. It sickens me. I betcha that they make them so small that they squeeze your Guinea Pigs. It just sickens me! |

I've seen little sweaters for skinnies. They probably need them sometimes so they stay warm. People sometimes "dress up" their piggies for fun and it's usually for like 5 monutes to get a picture. I personally don't dress mine but when I see little piggies all dressed up I crack up at how cute they look. |

I dress my pigs up for photo shoots and Christmas cards and the like (okay, and sometimes just because it's so darn cute and makes me laugh!) Put some lettuce in front of them and they couldn't care less. |

I see no problem with dressing pigs as long as it's for like 5 minutes for a piggy photo shoot. There's nothing wrong with it. And they really don't mind either. |

I see why it would make you mad...it is unnatural but at the same time so darn cute. I would do it just for a couple minutes for a pigture on a holiday. I certainly would never leave them in it longer than that for safety reasons and for the comfort of the pigs. They really have no clue what your doing which makes it a little disrespectful. Sounds crazy but I always ask them if it's ok first, you know what the answer will be wheek-wheek. |

That's why I am glad that my chihuahua Loves her cloths. I buy her a new sweater or a little frilly dress about once every couple months. She goes nuts over new cloths. |

I dress my pigs up for holidays (they got costumes on Halloween, Santa suits on Xmas and Easter Bunny hats for Easter). I don't see anything wrong with it, because its only for like 5 minutes, plus they get extra treats afterwards. |

The day I got Chuckles (I walked into the kiddie area at work and he was back there in a little store bought cage. He had the wrong food and was too thin, and just looked plain pathetic) I guess the kids were dressing him up and playing with him. He is so submissive, he would let you do anything to him. If I tried to dress Gizmo, I would be missing a finger! He would bite me in a heartbeat. I agree, guinea pigs do look cute when dressed up, but I would never do it. I would put a santa hat on their heads though. LOL. Where do people find those little sata hats? |

I see no problem in doing it for pictures and everytime I see a skinny pig all I can think is "he must be cold- he needs a sweater!" whether this is true or not. But where dressing up would cross the line would be letting children use a guinea pig like a doll for their own amusement. Definately not cool. |

A while ago, the power went out here for quite a while from a snowstorm so I actually dressed up my piggies to keep them warm. I also padded up their cozies a bit just in case. Man it was cold! |
