| Mars candy, the same brand that makes M&M's and Skittles, FUNDS animal "experiments" like to determine the effects of chocolate ingredients on their blood vessels. <VIEWER DISCRETION> Visit MarsCandyKills.com // Tell Mars to Have a Change of Heart and Stop Animal Tests for the gory details <VIEWER DISCRETION OVER> Hershey's, has pledged not to fund or conduct experiments on animals. Other major food corporations—including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Ocean Spray, Welch's, and POM Wonderful—have also publicly ended animal tests after hearing from PETA. I am never eating mars again. ![]() BUY HERSHEY, NOT MARS!!!!!! |

Thanks, but it's not a video. It's a website that tells you a little bit more about it and what you can do to help. |

Message sent. I was very active in contacting, and boycotting, companies such as Revlon, Avon, etc. before they ceased animal testing. Hopefully, the Mars company will cease the nonsense ASAP also. |

I started boycotting companies that test on animals three years ago. I forgot about mars. |

For anyone who feels this subject is such a bad thing... If you feel its a truly "cruel" practice, why not do something more about it? Rather then just contact and boycott. If you think its really cruel and unneeded research (and I think by now we all know how unhealthy things like chocolate are). If this is regulated research, contact the proper organization for the state/province/country etc. and have them inspected. Every licenced facility has an Animal Care Comittee (made of vets/citizens, researchers) and the facility will be inspected and if its cruel, the licence will be revoked. If this is unregulated research, they can be shut down for the sake of not having a licence. Has anyone tried this method? Now, personally I'm not about to jump on the PETA band-wagon about animal research until they show recent "proof" of what's going on in labs. The video footage they have currently is at least 15-20 years old, if not older, and its the same as their anit-research but with text slides. I'm just the kind of person who is giong to need RECENT undercover proof before I boycot something because its cruel but that's also the kind of person I am. |

We would need to call Mars and ask them what facility they use, wouldn't we? I don't know from that video which facility/institute they use. I'm sure if I just asked them non-chalantly, they would tell me. Otherwise, if they deny it, where else would I contact? I don't know what kind of "proper organization" to contact, sorry. I don't even know what you mean by that. It would be the same for everyone, would it not? I'm going to stop asking questions now L0L, too many my bad. |
