Pets at home vs petsmart? Are they the same company? And are animals treated as badly in pets at home as they are in petsmart? Sorry if this has been posted before!

Re: Pets at home vs petsmart? If they're selling live animals they are just as bad as Petsmart or Petco. No matter how "humanely" they might treat their animals, they are still getting them from a breeder and using them to draw attention and sell merchandise. They are still promoting breeding and preventing homeless animals in shelters from being adopted while they sell off animals.

Re: Pets at home vs petsmart? I know all that, and I would never buy a pet from ther, but what about them housing the animals out back and not really looking after them? I remember from working there years and years ago (just after they became pets at home) they had a tank out back for sick fish, and had a sheet to write down when they died and stuff so they could claim the money back or something.

Re: Pets at home vs petsmart? Then it sounds like they are just as bad in every way. ![]()
