At a loss for words but so mad. Well I just have to check on craigslist every so often and came across this; ''okay so i bought a huge snake right, and bought a rat to fee the huge snake. well the snake wouldn't eat the rat because the snake had a bad attitude or what ever, so i kept the rat and fed it and took care of it. so then i tried to feed the snake the rat again, but again the snake wouldn't eat the rat. so i called the pet store and the pet store told me to knock the rat un conscience so the snake wouldn't be intimidated, again whatever. so i did this. now please realize i am not into torturing animals however i am aware of how the food chain works and rats are food for snakes, snakes have to eat, someone has to die. anyhow so again the snake will not eat the rat. so i place the rat in a cage and put the snake who is apparently suffering from anorexia back into its cage and attempt this sad and time consuming ritual again later that day, and the next day, and every day since then. i took the snake back to the pet store, but the pet store would not take back the rat, so now i have this rat that it mentally disabled and it is all my fault. please take this rat. if i really liked hurting anything i would have been able to kill the rat but i can't so help me. if you want to kill the rat that is your own psychological problem, i would hope he would not be tortured any more than he has been already, i would hope someone would either love and care for him. or just feed him to a snake, a snake that is not suffering from an eating disorder. by the way his name is Caesar, yes I know... why would you name your snake food. it was an epiphany, a metaphorical version of jesus came to me or something, i dont know. he is friendly, doesnt bite, and likes cheese crackers. will bring to you within a 5 mile radius. '' How is it people are so stupid?

Re: At a loss for words but so mad. From what I understand a rat rescue in the area is taking in that rat. It's a horrible story but hopefully the rat will get some care now.

Re: At a loss for words but so mad. That's just sick!! Cant you get frozen mice and rats anyways to feed to snakes. I know they still have to be killed but at least they wouldn't be knocked out cold by some stupid idiot. Seems to me that he's trying to justify his actions by naming the rat and then giving it away for free. I'll tell You now he's not getting my sympathy (that poor rat will though, I'm at the point of tears right now).

Re: At a loss for words but so mad. Well I did email the person and say I would give it a good home, or at least take care of him until I could find a great home for him (My husband says no more animals). The woman replied back that a vet technician had given him a home and is taking care of him and he is getting the medical attention he needs. Lets Hope.
