Re: What Would You Do In This Situation?

I would probably drive out my of my way. It's not like I have to drive the 3 hours on a daily basis - so I don't see the big deal.

I might be marginalizing it a bit, but I drive 1hr+ to my university 5 days a week (to and from) and the trip takes a quarter tank every time. PLUS I have to drive to work nights after that.

I of course plan for this, and I think a responsible person would plan for the 3 hour trip for the guinea pigs because you are most likely going to have to take the trip once.

Re: What Would You Do In This Situation?

I think it's a great idea if you can drive that far. I personally drove 5 hours one way to rescue 4 piggies. I did get lost for a hour, so the regular drive was only suppose to be 4 hours and 30 minutes roughly. I know that there is no distance I wont drive for a piggy. Now you can put up a pig train request if you may need help if it's far and see if someone can help transport part or all of the way. I tried that once but no one replyed to my post that would drive from MI to OH. Rescues are so worth the time just to see that little piggie/s come over to the cage and popcorn because they are so happy to see you. Maybe someone can direct you on where to post if you need help with transport. Good luck and let us see some pictures when you rescue them.
