Now I am in no way telling anyone to go out and shop at Petno or any other nasty pet store. My husband signed me up for a petco pals reward card about 6 months ago without knowing the facts of such places, I haven't shopped there at all but the other day received a flyer in the mail that entitled me to one of 5 items free, so I thought about it and figured if I went in and used it Petno would have to have payed for what I got for free. I thought I would share so that petno would lose a little money if people did this. Now granted a couple of the things that were free were useless but even if you do not use the item petco will be losing money.

Well, for one I shop at Petco. Only because that is the ONLY pet place near me that DOESN'T sell animals. (They gave them up about 6 months ago.) And my parents don't trust the internet when it comes to giving money. I think that is a very good idea though. I am trying to get my Petco to stop advertising run-about-balls for guinea pigs and chinchillas.

Just because your Petco does not sell animals does not mean you are not still supporting mills. They are still a corporation that supports the mass production of animals.

There are many pet stores that sell supplies without selling animals - it may simply take a little more work to find them.

Try to find a local feed store. They usually have everything for all pets.
