Re: Flag CraigsList Breeder Ads

Please flag any puppy ads from "lexus and/or marcus greenwood." These people have over 30 puppies listed on craigs list, at $60 each. No shots, nothing. Just backyard breeding at its worst. (in the DFW craigslist)

Re: Flag CraigsList Breeder Ads

It's that time of year again. Easter bunnies are starting to be sold and sought out on Craigslist. Here is the HTML I worked up last year to start posting on CL. Feel free to use it and make changes as you see fit. You can see what it will look like once you upload it here
Easter Bunnies FREE!!!!!!! .

Don't forget to give it a catchy title like; Easter Bunnies FREE!!!!!

>>>>>>>>>>>>Copy/Paste all below<<<<<<<<<<<<

Have I got your attention? Good! There are a few things you need to consider before you bring home that bunny for the kids (or yourself) for Easter.

Contrary to Easter-time hype, rabbits and small children aren't a good match. The exuberance of even the gentlest toddler is stressful for the sensitive rabbit.

Children like a companion they can hold, and cuddle. That's why stuffed animals are so popular. Rabbits are not passive and cuddly. They are ground-loving creatures who feel frightened and insecure when held and restrained. The result of a short-sighted purchase of an Easter rabbit: the child loses interest, and the rabbit ends up <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/journal/3-7/brandolino-poem.html>neglected or abandoned</A>.

Easter bunnies soon grow large and reach adolescence. If left <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-neuter.html>unneutered</A> they will chew, spray or dig. Many end up <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/journal/3-7/brandolino-poem.html>neglected or abandoned<A/>. The result? Humane organizations such as <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/>House Rabbit Society</A> see a huge increase in the number of abandoned rabbits after Easter. Help us stop this yearly cycle by educating yourself and others!

-Rabbits are not "low-maintenance" pets, and are a poor choice as a <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/children.html>pet for children</A>.

-They have a lifespan of 10 years and require as much work as a dog or cat.

-Your home must be <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/rabbit-proofing.html>bunny-proofed</A>, or Thumper will chew cords and furniture.

-Rabbits must be <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-neuter.html>neutered or spayed</A> or they will mark your house with feces and urine.

-They should <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/housing.html>live indoors</A>, as members of the family.

Clearly, rabbits aren't for everyone. Are you a gentle adult living in a quiet household? If you think you're someone who would enjoy sharing life with a rabbit, please visit your local <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/hrs-info/contacts.html>rabbit-rescue group</A>.

Help Us Spread the Word!

Know someone purchasing a rabbit at Easter? Let them know it's a bad idea. Print out our <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/easter/flyer/childstory.pdf>Children and Rabbits Flyer</A> or <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/journal/3-7/brandolino-poem.html>The Easter Bunny Poem</A> and give them a copy.

Wear a <A HREF=http://www.cafepress.com/hrs>t-shirt sporting one of our Easter messages</A>.

<A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/easter/link.html>Display our Easter banners</A> on your own homepage.

Print out and distribute our <A HREF=http://www.rabbit.org/easter/flyer/index.html>Easter flyers</A> around town.

When I clicked on the link to see what this would look like once I posted it, it said that it was flagged for removal???
Why would someone flag this? What a jerk, whoever did that. If someone flags it where I post it, I will continue to keep on posting it. Hmph!

Re: Flag CraigsList Breeder Ads

I continually get flagged by the breeders who want to sell their bunnies. It's okay, I just keep on reposting it after it gets flagged and it pops up back at the top again. I also post it in a couple of different areas (pets and farm and garden, sometimes general too) by using different member names I've set up on CL.

Thats a good idea, to create different craigslist accounts. I have different email addresses, so I could just do that too. Thanks! I'll also try to post it in different areas like general, farm & garden, and of course pets.

I also tell them they can email me back if they have any questions. I have had a couple actually interested and asking me where to find supplies. I even put a post on craigslist about this site and making a bigger cage.
