I came across this poem in the pet section of the Sheffield Forum. I can't post it here as the original poster doesn't know anything about the copyright, so I'm just posting the link.

That's so sad but so true. It breaks my heart thinking people love money more than simple human decency in the welfare of animals.

I can't read it right now, I read a few lines but could not continue. I just lost my 13 week old puppy yesterday. I adopted him from a rescue, 10 hours away from me, I knew he had the same special needs as one dog I had, but the breeders did not tell the rescue about other issues. Poor boy had a very very narrow trachea and struggled for every breath, he had a brain deformity, he had an abnormally small bladder and could not hold his urine, the problem I did know about was his spina bifida, which affected his bowels, same as one of my dogs. Sorry to hijack your thread, I just know the poem would make me burst out again over my poor boy.
