I was in Pet Supplies Plus this evening to check on the stupid place. The water bowl was dirty. One of the guinea pigs were sleeping. They are usually lethargic in that store. I reported them. The other one seemed fine. One thing that is really scary is the way they don't even know how to tell the difference between a male and a female. They put their guinea pigs together!

Speaking of Pet Supplies Plus, I heard on a hermit crab forum that one time, at someone's nearby Pet Supplies Plus, the "Supp" part was burned out, and it read, "Pet Lies Plus."

That's odd that your Pet Supplies Plus store sells animals, because the one in my town doesn't. I like going there.

Mine doesnt sell animals either. However I hate it because its wayy to expensive! Its crazy!

They just opened up a new PetSmart near me, and it pains me to say it but they don't treat their guinea pigs half bad. I still agree that no pet stores should sell any kind of animal, but I have seen much worse. They have a "scamps" nearby, too, and it is horrible. Dogs in cages that are about as large as hamster cages, no bedding, towels or anything but wire on the floors of them; kittens in the same situation, and feeder mice about 15 per cage. It was sickening. I would never buy food from them or support them in any way. they have already been accused of puppy mills and such, shut down and reopened. it's painful to see...
