Is this for real? Pet

I saw a video of a cat going crazy in one of those petspa machines on collegehumour (this is the first time I've been to that site) and it made me sick. Has anyone ever seen or heard of them? Has any experience with them?

Here is the link to the website where they explain this "PetSpa". I think it's a ridiculous Idea.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before or if I'm even allowed to post this link. But at first I thought this was a joke, but apparently it's real.
Pet Spa

I didn't post any videos of pets being washed. The cat I saw was going nuts. I personally couldn't put any of my pets in those machines.

Re: Is this for real? Pet

I think that is disgusting, it is beyond cruel. They are putting their animals in a glorified washing machine.

Re: Is this for real? Pet

That's crazy. Why would anyone want to put their dog/cat in there? I swear, people are getting crazier by the day. They are trying to come up with 'great' ideas and failing at it. Just like the shared dog ownership.

Re: Is this for real? Pet

Yes, the ideas keep getting more and more convenient for the owners, and more and more harmful to the pets. Interesting.

Re: Is this for real? Pet

What will people think of next? Anyone who can put their pet into a machine for a bath shouldn't have pets. That is one of the craziest things I have ever seen.

Re: Is this for real? Pet

Cats usually don't like water with an exception of a few. Who would trap a poor cat into some kind of machine with water so it cannot get out? That is cruel!

EDIT: Found a video:
YouTube - The pet Spa

It looks like cats could easily fracture their skulls in that! I would definitely not put my cat in that for $1 million!

Re: Is this for real? Pet

That poor cat - who would deliberately put a cat in a position that would cause it such distress?

Lazy bum humans! If you want your cat to be clean, wash it yourself! Don't traumatize the poor thing by locking inside some insane machine!

Re: Is this for real? Pet

Yes these petwashers are real!! I have seen one in the pet store that I frequent...not to purchase...I go in and check on the piggers...since they quite frequently have eye infections, and end up in the wrong cage...then stand on my soap box and preach!! Anyway, they actually call it a "pet spa". It is absolutely horrifying, there is no where for the poor animal to hide. And it takes what seems like an eternity to finish. I don't see anything relaxing about it, a better description is like a car wash. I had to leave when I saw this machine in action!

Re: Is this for real? Pet

OMG that's horrible! The cat in the video was probably permanently traumatized-- it was terrified! Cats hate water, who would be stupid enough to trap one in a machine like that?

You must STOP a Pet Spa cycle if a pet shows signs of distress while in the Pet Spa.
Apparently not with that poor cat. It was obviously distressed.

All cats will show signs of distress, with the exception of a few.
