It's so upsetting looking at those youtube videos. Every once in a while I'll go to search 'guinea pigs', and most are just awful, mistreatment, too small of houses. It makes me sick. |

I don't think that was their permanent housing, but either way, it was much too small for two pigs, and it looked like they were outside. Watching the second one, I didn't know what he was giving to them at first, until I realized he was slicing a cucumber. LOL! Does Youtube have to approve the videos before they can be posted?? Because I don't know how they can allow videos like that and animal cruelty to be public. |

I'm not totally sure, but I think any video can be posted, but you can "report" it as innappropriate. They've probably got some kind of moderators on their site too, but they'd probably only look for porn, violence, etc. |

I have seen worse videos to be honest, especially all the ones where they are making guinea pigs swim! And the guinea pig on the trampoline. |

I don't think they live there as there is no food or water bottle in that cage - I think it is just a temporary cage whilst their environment is cleaned up. |

That one where they were in the little tub the description says that it's just a 'play' area and where they are 'getting a snack' so probably they are just in there for a little while to eat their veggies (to lessen mess?). That trampoline one is just... wow. I don't know why they thought that was a good idea. |

Trust me, even though thoes conditions are terrible. I once did a search on mice. And there was about 5(yes 5) videos, of people torching poor defencless mice with fire. There was one that absolutely made me want to beat the living **** out of a guy,the mouse was stuck on a sticky pad and its squirming to get free and he just set it on fire, and was LAUGHING at the pain he was causing. I believe in an eye for an eye. I really dont if that causes the world to go blind. |

There are some horrible things on Youtube - I saw a video of pet piranhas being fed a live mouse. It is one thing being put into a tank full of water when you are a rodent that is not used to swimming but being fed to fish whilst you're still alive..!! |

Notice I made a comment below the "breakfast time" video referring to this site. They won't let you post "guineapigcages.com" because they want to prevent advertising a website, but you can get around this by typing "guineapids-dot-com." I think it is worth posting on any mistreated guinea pig thread because even if the owner doesn't see it, any visitors will. I think too many people just don't realize it's so easy to make a cage bigger than a store-bought one. |
