I have to disagree. They should not be around each other at all for 3 weeks. If she has something and it is airborn, then it doesn't matter if they are around each other for 2 minutes or 2 hours. Please rethink allowing them to be together for any length of time.

I am glad she will be with someone who will care for her while she goes through this pregnancy.

No, it isn't: Guinea Lynx :: Quarantine

Ace getting her pregnant isn't the only thing you have to worry about. It's too late now anyway, but you have to do strict quarantine when you get a new pig from an unknown source.

What did the vet give you for her feet?

Re: Flea Market Disaster :(

Call the Flea Market Management! It makes me mad that people like him do actually know better but do not care so that they can make a profit on poor animals suffering in such cages.

Re: Flea Market Disaster :(

Sorry for the dely. I was on vacation to Scotland. ^^

New miss piggy is still and has been kept by herself in a quiet warm room since her vet visit. Reason being, not only from the advice on this forum, but because I'm afraid my dog might stress her out. Ace and my dog, Shay, are best of buds and while Ace runs back and forth in his home the dog does the same on the outside of the cage.

I was worried that this would totally freak miss piggy out.

The cream the vet gave me is more like a gel. On the bottle it reads "Aloe Comfrey Gel" and it comes in a 6 oz. bottle.

Re: Flea Market Disaster :(

My local flea mall has animals too. They sell puppies, kittens, reptiles, small pets, and birds. The puppies are WAY too young. They're so small they look a few days old. Whenever I go to the flea mall (which is rarely ever) I wear my "Adopt! Don't Buy from Backyard breeders!" T-Shirt to aware people. There's also a guy that sells huge pythons and the sad part is that he also sells GUINEA PIG BABIES! I hate to think about what might they be used for. The kittens often have ticks on their ears and are quite skinny (they probably have worms). This kind of backyard breeding sickens me!

Have you called the SPCA or Animal Control? Or even PETA.

Re: Flea Market Disaster :(

My Nan goes to flea markets and she felt so bad there was six sugar gliders in a cage smaller than a guinea pig petstore cage. Some people are so cruel to animals.

Re: Flea Market Disaster :(

I would have gone up to that person and said "You sir, are a horrible man!" Then I would of said that I wouldn't pay a penny for it because it was hurt...hehehehe! Then I would report the man!

Oh, for a name you might try Belle, Trixie, Pixie..Alexis, Alexia(To match Ace)

Re: Flea Market Disaster :(

My Nana sure told that man off alright, he was speechless. I forgot to add he said they were so easy to care for. Obviously he had no clue what e was talking about.
