Oh, yes, people are that stupid. And you'd better believe it, too. In many countries cavies are a main source of meat, especially in South America. People all over eat all kinds of different meat; cow, pig, chicken, fish, dog, cat, kangaroo, zebra, shark, etc. Cavies are no exception. Just because it's "gross" or "mean" doesn't mean it's fake. Slaughterhouses all over the world are disgusting, just like that video, but they certainly aren't fake, are they? And what about people that kill cows or pigs for meat? Are they "smart"?
