| Searching for videos with improper cage set-ups, etc. only takes a few minutes out of your day, and is usually effective. All you need to do is kindly give them some correct care information, links, etc. This works with all animals. Many people go on youtube that don't know much about the animals that they own. By introducing them to correct pet care for one of their animals, they may want to research on other pets they may have. There are other website you can do this on, too. Any site that offers comments on videos, sites, etc., can help. Even if you can't see anything wrong with their post to their blog, video away from the tank, etc., and can't tell the conditions of their tanks, cages, etc., it is still a great idea to give them links to care information. You can also suggest that researching on new pets is a grea thing to do, and can save lives. |

I have not adopted a cavy yet, but I do know a quite a lot about them now from research. That is a good thing to do. If you reply politely, they will not dismiss you, and the piggy can be happy. A win win situation for both, the pig is happier, and the owner is happier. If the owner isn't satisfied about their pet being joyful, then frankly they don't deserve a pet. |
