Re: Killer hamsters at Petsmart

Er, I think you'll find people in britain don't eat cavies and never have considered them foodstuffs in the slightest. guinea Pigs are pets in the UK. I dont know where you got that idea from. Although I can't account for some idiot chef deciding to put it on his menu just to make a few quid.

Sorry to keep it off-topic but I just wanted to say... where did you get the information that Brits eat guinea pig!? I am in the UK and have never heard of people eating guinea pig over here!! We Brits are far too sensitive to eat animals which are kept as pets.

That hamster video sickens me. Someone said about 'hamsters cannot be kept with other hamsters' but I thought that was only the case with Syrian hamsters..? The type of hamster in this Youtube video is usually fine kept in a big group, which proves that they are only fighting because of the bad conditions they are kept in.

(hehe oops we posted the SAME thing at the SAME time, Stubblychin!)

The Guinea Pig Handbook by Sharon L. Vanderlip. I think I may have miss led everyone. I meant to say that they USED to eat them. Back like 100 years ago. I'm not sure about that now. Sorry for the confusion.
