Ferplast cages I wasn't sure where to put this so I hope it's in the right place..... Since I found this site I've got into campaigning and have written to loads of people. Not long ago I wrote to Ferplast to complain about their products - mainly their horribly small cages. This morning I got a reply from them, saying: "...At the moment the company carries out quarterly checks on complaints from our various branches throughout Europe. Analyses are made each quarter and sent to our technical department in Italy..." If anyone would write to them as well they could soon be inundated with complaints, then hopefully they'll realise how much custom they'll be losing if they don't improve. You can find the address to write to in your country by looking on their website under "contact". Please help....

Re: Ferplast cages I have two Ferplast cages for travel use only. The pig sized cage is less than a 1x2 C&C. I fitted a 1x2 unit in the bottom to provide a tiny bit extra space with a 'second' mimi-level, and the 1x2 didn't even fit properly.

Re: Ferplast cages I've got a ferplast cage for my dwarf hamster, which I'm quite pleased with. Ferplast also has one of the only pet store cages I would buy. It's 140cm by 71cm, which is close to the size of a 2x4. Ferplast Rabbit 140 Cage : Rabbit & Guinea Pig Unfortunately, while these cages are available, they tend to focus more on the smaller cages. I've got one of those (80 by 40 cm) as a travel cage, but I would never recommend them as permanent housing.

Re: Ferplast cages I'm not saying that Ferplast should stop selling cages - only to increase the sizes of them. I've only just realised I own a ferplast hamster cage myself (I got it second hand), but I have only used it to put the mice in when I clean out their permanent cage, which is more than 3 times bigger. I think if we want to get pets into better cages we need to reach both owners and suppliers. While pet shops keep selling tiny cages, saying they are "perfect for rabbits" or whatever, people will assume they are good enough... And while people keep buying them, people will keep selling them.
