is there anything that can be done??!!!?? ok, so we went to Petco and of course visited the piggies, there were too many in each AQUARIUM, not an open area and one black male - his left eye was closed completely and the other was about halfway with white looking stuff. Poor guys They also had a bird, sitting on the bottom of it's small cage, fluffed up and shivering and he had the wrong type of seed. just horrible. Is there anyone to contact that can make them clean up their act?????

Re: is there anything that can be done??!!!?? You can make a report to the SPCA about sick animals not receiving proper vet care. If you have to guts you can make a stink about it in the store.

Re: is there anything that can be done??!!!?? Or get the media involved. The last thing they want is bad publicity.

Re: is there anything that can be done??!!!?? Good ideas, I did say something to some person at the store but I know he didn't do anything, right now I'm gonna look for their address and phone number and contact the manager. I think what has happened is they just opened and short handed but being friday night that's about all I can do. I'm just afraid they will simply "dispose" of the sick one.

Re: is there anything that can be done??!!!?? You could report it to the s.p.c.a. and refuse to give them your business.

Re: is there anything that can be done??!!!?? This is not good, Petco is very well known for bad animal care. Do what 4B said, Get the media involved.NOW! Report them to the SPCA, any animal rights accsoiation. If they don't belive you show them. Also a good thing is photos. take a digatal camra next time and snap loads of pics. Then you give them to the spca. they will do somthing for sure.
