Right now My friend has two spoiled little male piggies named Squeaker and Wheeker. They are in a perfect 2X5 CC cage. The problem. Her mom is going to adopt a female pig and breed them. I'm mad at her, she dosn't see all of the possible compilctions that could happen, what she is going to do with the babys. Her Mom thinks she knows everything because she used to own a pet shop.

We are mad as &#$%. She(the friend) is grounded now for going on Guinea Lynx to learn more about Cavys. This sucks.

Right now i need some help, how to turn her mom around.

Things like that are so awful.When my mum gets stuck on a guinea pig idea (What do you MEAN,they need Oxbow?!Isn't Hagen and a carrot a day spoiling them?!) I email some guinea pig pages to her from a friend's account so she doesn't know I gave them to her and I won't get into trouble.Get as many breeding pages as possible,preferably all saying the same thing; DON'T.

Yes please print out lots of information saying why breeding is bad, does she realize that the two boys will never go back together?
Maybe that will make her rethink things.

Thanks for the help but i don't have a printer. i have given her alot of pages like on CavySpirt (via e-mail) and that one too. I will find a printer that i can use, perferbaly not the ones at school they will be asking why and most likely refuse. Her mom dosn't relize the the boys won't go back together.
I think her mom has no clue that they won't adopt out a female fro breeding. i will of course update this again, i have to talk to my friend.

To clear this up if it needs it, her mom wants to breed not my friend.

Just do everything in your power to prevent this, If i was you I would just tell her over and over again that she shouldn't breed, just whine and whine all day long everytime you see her. I would seriously black mail her if anyone would try to get a boar with my 3 girls.

I know how you feel about *this is fine* attitude, my boyfriend wanted to get them a treat, we were at a petshop to look up on the conditions there (There were BTW two baby guinea pigs of maybe a week old housed with a big rabbit which pissed me off) and he incisted that we should get them one of those crappy treats, incisting it won't be bad for them this one time, I was just so angry at him for incisting this. As if he knew more about guinea pigs then I did, I told him they would be just as happy with a nice piece of their fav vegie or fruit. So I know how you feel if someone incists doing something bad to your pigs. Especially if your young and an adult is abusing their power like that.

If there's no way to stop her I would call the rspca :P

OK printed the info and gave it to her mom. She said "Since i have so many people telling me this is a bad idea i won't breed then." I'm gald i changed her mind. My friend might adopt another friend (male don't worry) Thats a good end result right?

Ok then.... thanks for all of the help. I'm happy i could change somomones mind.
Also im hearing rumors that another friend what to breed her Chihuahua for some reason she thisks it's a get rich quick thing. told it was not , all of the things you have to pay for ( De-worming, toys, ect)
She thought about it and aggreed with me.she has spent over $1000 in doggie related stuff when she got her little dog . so she said "dumb idea.. what was i thinking?"

Oh myyyy! I feel so sorry for your friend. I would really think that something was up if my mum didnt want me to learn about how to breed guinea piggies or any animal and she wanted to breed. Thats just weird as!

There is no way she will get rich by breeding her Chihuahua! My uncle let his Chihuahuas have a litter (No matter what anyone said he didn't change his mind) and the female delivered three pups fine and then no more for a whole day.
Next day when she was FINNALY take to the vet she had a emergency C section which resulted in a dead pup and two more live ones.
Grand Total? $1000
Then when the puppies are 6 weeks old one ends up with cherry eye and it had to be surgically removed.
Cost? $300
After selling the puppies for $200 each he made no profit at all!
All he made back was the money from the C section.
He lost money after having the Cherry Eye surgery done and after buying puppy food,shots ect...he didn't make anything.
