Angry Another example of why NOT to buy from a breeder or pet store!

I found this on the RSPCA website today:

The RSPCA are carrying out an investigation after 264 animals were found DEAD in some farm outbuildings. They were mostly mice and guinea pigs as well as rabbits. They also found eight cats - fortunately still alive.

They think this was a breeding facility...

It's just sick.

Yes, It's just horrible, this most be a typical case of a breeder trying to earn a buck and then turns into a hoarding situation where the person can't take care of them anymore and this is the result, these are the kind of people that deliver to petstores. Hope people think twice now.

It's sickening. A few months ago, hundreds of pigs were confiscated from someone breeding them for food in a barn in Pennsylvania. They were in 2 feet of their own feces and had dead pigs all around them. It's just disgusting.

This is the true horror behind so many of the guinea pigs and other small animals sitting in pets shops upand down the country.
When, oh when, will people take off their rose tinted glasses and stop buying from pet shops period?

You hear so many times..."It's like rescueing anyway" " It doesn't matter where your guinea pig comes from as long as you love it"...people need to wake up, get real and open their eyes to animal trade they encourage when they hand their money over at the check out.

Try and ask these people to look at the bigger picture, think about where the babies parents are etc...and "you" are the bad so and so...they beggar belief.
