His eye doesn't look just gone, but infected! Also reported. Should someone contact this person about craigslist and petfinder, so they don't just let them free or give them to animal research or something?

The first one has been removed but the second is still there (but you only posted about 1/4 of an hour ago). Do you have to be a member of eBay to report things?

Yes you have to be a member.

To report them scroll to the bottom of the auction and click on Report this Item. Then click what is applicable in each box. Once you clicked each box click on "continue".

It would seem that your job is then done or you stalled out but that's Ebay's way of making reporting items difficult. On the next page at the bottom of the colored banner that comes up you will see Email us. Click on that and it will take you to the next page.

You aren't done yet. On the next page that pops up hit the send button. Then you are done reporting the item.

Out of curiosity is selling live animals against ebay policy and these people are just getting away with it until reported or is it just that we as a site find it reprehensible to sell animals and are reporting it on that basis, or is it that the animals are mamed (only 1 eye) that makes it especially horrible? For me it'd be the latter, selling a mamed animal although I think I'd be even more mad if he didn't state or show that the animal was mamed before a person bought it.

It is against Ebay policy to sell live animals (except fish and invertebrates I think).

It is the fact that these idiots are willing to sell their animals to anyone with a high bid with no care as to what happens to them once they get their money.

Oh my gosh, those are awful!
EDIT: The guinea pig and hamster ones are gone, but the rabbit ad is still there. I'm not an eBay member though so I can't report them.

My husband and I belong to a bull terrier forum as well and they found the same thing in the UK for two baby bullies on Ebay, please anyone flag this one as well. I don't have the listing but it's in the pet section.

It is against Ebays rules to sell any livestock and anyone that is spotted should be reported as I noticed from the above posts, well spotted.

I have also noticed that a lot of Free Classified Ad's companies are now withdrawing Livestock from their free classifieds and charging seller for placing the ad's which in my opinion is a good idea.
