Unhappy Sick People

I am sick. I just don't get people. I just read about a man placing a puppy on a burning, flaming grill. The puppy is being treated for burns and the man was placed with felony animal cruelty. I just flat out don't get it.

Re: Sick People

You aren't the only one. I don't see why people harass animals for their own enjoyment. If they want to enjoy themselves, they should leave their animals alone and sign up for activities at the rec centre or something... *sigh*

Re: Sick People

Yeah that happened here in Columbia, SC. I was fuming when I heard that - lucky that wasn't my jurisdiction (btw I'm a police officer).

Re: Sick People

Unfortunately the puppy did not make it. He had burns on 60% of his body. Maybe it was better that he passed onto the Rainbow Bridge.

Re: Sick People

Oh people really are hateful, I don't know how people come up with such awful things to do. I was going to be an RSPCA inspector here but I realised I could not hold my temper with such cruel idiots, I'd have a criminal record for GBH as long as my arm.

Re: Sick People

I don't understand people like this. Only someone really, really, really, really, REALLY sick could hurt an animal for their own enjoyment. Poor puppy.

Re: Sick People

I whole heartedly agree with all of you. You have to wonder what goes though a person's head..."Hey, I'm bored let's grill a puppy". What a sicko!

Terrible! pour pour puppy! I don't understand why people hurt animals for fun. Somebody that's really sick only could hurt a animal like this!

Re: Sick People

I read in the paper from Seattle that someone broke into a pet store/shelter, stole some expensive animals and stepped on/killed a bunch of small animals. Also some cats were injured.

Re: Sick People

People often make nasty comments because my kids have several pets. Apparently, some people think that by having the pets around the kids suffer. I beg to differ, my kids know compassion. Several times as we sit down to eat dinner one of the kids will pop up and rush off to feed their hamster or lizard. They don't like the thought that they might be hungry or in a dirty cage. I think that compassion for other living things is severely lacking in so many kids today and if my kids can learn it through their pets then they are better people for it!

What in a person could possibly possess someone to put a helpless animal on a grill knowing of the pain it must endure?

I'm the same way.
I heard earlier today that someone put a puppy in an oven and cooked it to death. They later showed the remains to children.

Re: Sick People

Oh what awful stories. I usually do not read stuff like this because it really upsets me. I was raised with animals and so our my two children. My boys are very compassionate to animals. The more we can teach in the home, the better our society will be in reality as our children grow up. I am thankful the good out weigh the bad, but the bad sure are horrible.

Re: Sick People

I'm teary eyed just reading these stories. When the weather turns cold here in Maryland, I always worry about the poor animals left outside. To be burned to death....it makes my heart so heavy. I hope they are now at peace.
