Awful pet stores!

Yesterday a very cute piglet came into the clinic I work at and he was only about 2 1/2 months old if that. He was very skinny and had conjunctivitis, mites, and god knows what else. The owners had just purchased him, and when asked "why did the store even sell him" the owners replied that they said he wasn't supposed to be sold but they would for an extra fee. How disgusting, at least this little guy got lucky with people willing to treat his ailments, but OMG was I mad!

For an extra fee? Geez, they should have gotten him for free with all those ailments. Glad his new family took him to the vets to be all fixed up. Poor little guy.

Sounds almost like the store up the street from your clinic. I went in once (cause it would be nice to have a good store closer then Pet Valu and Global) and I was disgusted at the conditions there. They sell puppies, kittens and who knows what else. They also sell a lot of seed mixes and grungy hay.

PM me if you want directions from your clinic. Maybe you can do something for the poor creatures there.

Yeah that would be great, I've never actually been in there but I have walked by on numerous occasions and boy does it look grungy!

It's awful, isn't it? I hope the clean up trend in the neighbourhood sweeps them up.
