Many other forums

I am so niave. I found the site a year and a half ago and never left. With all the posts about other forums I did a search on Google and went looking.
I was surprized at how many Cavy Forums there are. Some are anti-breeding/rescue others arent. Many to not understand the petstore issue at all. Many children are breeding. I am so bummed. What did surprise me is, how many if not all are using C&C cages. I went on each cage site and it's all C&C!

Thank you again, T, for this wonderful site. You and the Mods really do a fabulous job. I didn't find one site that matched the excellance of Cavy Cages.

Talking Re: Many other forums

Thank you! And there are plans for more and more improvements. I keep whittling away...

I've got some really huge ideas and plans and some little ones.

As you Stars and Champions know (please do not post or comment about this, however), you have seen a prototype of a new site based on a content management system that has been in the works for a long time. There is some technology that I'm still waiting for, but it's getting close. That will include a big overhaul for this site as well.

Lots of improvements and plans. I'm not sitting still.

We weather the storms on the controversial fronts and hopefully continue to improve. But we do stay the course.

For anyone that goes beyond what they find in the pet store, I think I can safely say, C&C cages and the sizes promulgated have become the standard, and for good reason. Not because I say so, but because it's right. Time and acceptance has born it out.

Re: Many other forums

I saw this posted above and I read it as one sentence. HA HA.

Now, what I wanted to say there are so many things that I have learned from this forum and I also had my faith restored that there are so many more people out there that really care for animals and their well being.

Re: Many other forums

I do really apprieciate this forum here. I find it downright creepy to talk to child breeders on some of the other forums I frequent. A child talking about breeding other things who can't even breed for themselves is just odd.

I also like how you can express your opinions here. In the kitchen I've debated with many people, and as long as I was polite, the mods had no problem with it. I enjoy a good debate.

Re: Many other forums

Like you Susi, I found this site, and have never left! I have had no need to look elsewhere (except gl on occasion) - but perhaps, in a spare minute (ha ha), I will have a browse - just for comparison.

I echo your praise to T and the Mods.!

Re: Many other forums

This was the first site I found. I am not as active as I used to be, but I still read. I go to GL for the medical forum since it is so extensive. I also spend time on The Pigloo. In my opinion, these 3 sites are like 3 sides of a triangle. They have the same purpose but offer something difference to everyone. But no matter where what side of the triangle you are on, you are getting the same message.
