| Last month, I was in a store (just a department store) And I saw 3 guinea pigs in this little aquarium.... I felt sooo sorry for them (they were full grown Abys)....and I went back to the store the next time, and there was only one of them left, and I went back to the store yet again like a month later and that same piggie was still there, I'm wondering if I should get the poor thing and take care of it or just leave it for the store to take care of.... what should I do??? |

What kind of department store sells guinea pigs? If you decide to do anything, go ask the manager of the store where they got the pigs in the first place. If he says that they order them, buy them from a breeder, or breed them themselves, leave the pig there. |

If they got these from a breeder, as soon as you buy this guy, they'll call the breeder and just order some more. It's sad, and I don't blame you for feeling sorry for him, but if you think about what the sows and boars that are being bred go through to stock the stores, not buying him is the right decision. |
