| You know, we sometimes give people the benefit of the doubt when we bloody well shouldn't. She has admitted to us via PM that she will be 'rehoming' her pig, with the CLASSIC excuse from a family with kids, in this case, she is the kid. In essense 'the pigs deserves a home where it can get more attention.' In other words, I'm bored with you and I can't be bothered anymore. You are too much work and too much of a commitment. As a rescuer, this is the #1 problem. Parents don't take responsibility from the get go. Kids get bored. Too much work. Out goes the pig/s. Nothing ticks me off more. |

So long and goodbye to a neglectful owner that can never be taught anything. |

Just when I thought this person was getting reasonable. This is really dissappointing. Farewell, careless owner. |

I won't even say goodbye. I'll say a quick prayer to anyone listening that your cavy is sent to a deserving home. |

I really wanted to rip into her several times but I held back. I'm glad she's gone, but I hope her piggie makes it to a better home. No one ever deserves to be tossed aside like a common play thing. The nerve of some people. |

Why would someone PM the mods with something like that? The whole thing is strange. Hopefully her pig will make it to a better place. I am glad she is gone, I think we all have better things to do then debate the principles of this forum with someone who truely does not want to have an open mind. |

I have to admit that on getting piggies I wasn't as responsible as I should have been, but in learning of the care they need and so on I have altered things to accomodate. It doesn't matter wheter I'd planned on having to do more, I am their owner and they are my responsibility and I will do whatever necessary to make sure they live long, happy healthy lives. If that means rearranging furniture to have a larger pen, then that's what I'll do. I have a 6 year old and a 15 month old and am pregnant and I would never use my kids as an excuse to pawn one of my pets off on another person. I really hope her piggie finds a great home. I'm still learning so much and really trying to accomodate the 3 I have so I cannot take a new one for a while, but once I'm more educated and cavy savy I plan on a few more. Sometimes adults use their kids to cover for their own inadequacies. "oh we can't go little suzy is allergice" really means "I just don't want to go but don't want to sound like a b*&#h" Grow up people, even if you say they are your kids pets you are the adult and ultimatly responsible for the pets wellbeing.
