Re: The "new" Petco

PS...If mestes1999 wants to worry about what is going on in the world...watch was is happening to children who cannot always speak for themselves, what about the wild animals no body hears when their homes are destroyed by a single cigarette that started a huge fire. Domestic animals who are euthanized everyday just because they do not have a home. Without people standing up for those with a smaller voice, who will? My husband is a activist for children. Any of my boys friends know this is a house they can come to for any help they need. He teaches them to be aware of their surroundings so they can be as safe as they can be in the big world. When he was a counselor he was there for many children. When he was at the right place at the right time he found a lost child on a mountain side. He once saved a little boy from choking on a piece of candy at a local store.
He has done the same for animals. He saved my dobe mix from dying when she was 6 weeks old. He is there for the animals and the children just as I am. Just as most of us on this forum. The little things we do in our lives makes a HUGE difference for the ones we help. Animals, kids, other people. We all have the power to make a difference. And worrying about the little things and taking action makes a BIG difference in the world.

There are other problems. But animal cruelty is quite a bad factor. This is twice as brutal as the death of humans. Every day 500 animals are killed and another 500 are born from poor breeding. But it seems that you don't care, so take it out of the forum and go to some meat lovers forum. Look before speaking and notice how many vegans post on this forum. We don't need your snooty comments.

Unhappy Re: The "new" Petco

I don't know who this person named Mestes1999 is but they seem confused and more than a little off base. I can't imagine not being concerned about the space any living creature has to live in. I really don't like fish, but when I see them floating in these pet stores and large box stores it breaks my heart. I just don't understand why you would own an animal if you don't want to care for them in the right way. I don't understand people that have children and beat them, molest them and kill them. I just don't like cruel people and I do understand why the people here stand up for al helpless animals and humans......Carol 59

Re: The "new" Petco

We just had our first Petco built here, and I am not pleased at all at the Guinea Pig's living conditions. The cages are way to small. Their long but there isn't even enough room for one guinea pig to pass another. They have no pigloos or shelters in the cages, and the water bottles are sooooo low to the ground the bedding covers the tip where the pigs sip. They hold about 3 to 5 guinea pigs in these ridiculously small cages. It's insane. I am concidering call corporate about this, because I am highly upset.
