I have a suggestion for ILOVEHONEY2005. Could you yourself put an as in the paper asking about wanting to adopt a GP? I have gotten more than one animal, that came thru word of mouth that I took in unwanted animals.
I think/know there is so many people out there that no longer want their animals including GP"s. My vet knew I was looking for a baby GP for my blind pig Gus. When 3 of them came into her office she called me. Let your vet or several vets know you are looking. Call your local Humane Society.
Give out your name and phone number so you are on a list when a GP or 2 comes in for adoption.
Please read all this website stands for. The very best care anywhere for GP's. Members are very passionate about adoption, not breeding, being vegetarian. Adoption and non-breeding are absolutes. Being a vegetarian or vegan is a personel choice. Most members are vegetarians or vegan. There are many who are not. Those who are not just don't make fights over it, or go on the vegetarian site. First and foremorest is the love of GP's, giving them the best cage, food, care and medical care thru adoption.
If all else can be put aside, this is the best website on the internet for just that. The love and care of the GP. Suzi

Someone actually did mention to the original poster that he/she should ideally get 2 guinea pigs. The original poster said she wasn't allowed to have more than 1.

I really hope ILH2005 learns and understands the points who we are here and what we feel about animals.
I was in 4 H when I was younger. I did dog obedience and showmanship. We did all breeds, I had a mixed. I knew about the other part of it, but could never do anything like that. I even had a hard time with the people who raised the seeing eye dogs from pups, and had to give them up to help someone. That was a great thing and I got heart broke about them giving up the pups after training and raising them. I could not even do that.

30' long is pretty nice for a petstore cage. But still very small.. Only 2 grids long. You should atleast have a 2 x 3 cage.
