I frequently visit the louisvillemojo website, and I just saw this ad that has me very concerned. Two young, male guinea pigs with large cage, lots of pine bedding, food, bowls, large water bottle, treats, and more. I think they're brothers. They are very attached to one another. Well over $100 worth of accessories and supplies, all for $30. First of all, pine bedding. Second of all, they're very cheap. Is there anyone near Louisville, Ky who can take them? I cannot take anymore animals. I can't even get to some of my animals without moving other cages anymore. It's ridiculous. This time I have to say no, but I'm still worried about them and was wondering if anyone else could take them? I emailed the lady to tell her about the bedding and to offer them for a more expensive price and then lower it when she's sure they're not going to be food. |

1) Are there any rescues in the nearby areas or surrounding? 2) Can you contact the owner and attempt to educate him/her gently about proper care until they find a home for the piggers? 3) I know it stinks, but unfortunately, you can't save them all. |

The only rescue in the area was the Southern IN Guinea pig rescue and they shut down for personal reasons. I emailed her and told her about the bedding and gave her the link to cavycages, guinealynx, and my website (www.poomakers.com) for cavy care info. We may be seeing her on here... |
