Guinea pigs are eaten in 3rd world countrys becuase its just like you and me eating a steak. but yeah its sick.

Falken, maybe you have not looked into it, but the consumption of guinea pigs is much more economical than the consumption of say, cows. I do not support eating meat, but I am very aware of the siduation where in Peru they could not become vegitarian because of their lifestyle and food availibility.

Eating caives is an economical alternative, and is much better for the people and environment.

Cavykid, I am offended at the your word choice.

It would be nice if you would do a damn thread search first and see the dozens of threads on this same issue. It's not new news.

People in South America have been eating guinea pigs for forever, even before the Europeans came over here. It's not sick, they needed the protein and the food, it's just a way of life.
