Hi! I thought that I would introduce myself, my family, and my much adored piggies.
I'm Kristi, wife to Charles and mom to a 15 yo girl (she is going through some pretty bad stuff right now

she is also "technically" my stepdaughter) and 3 boys...8, 6, and 2 1/2. I have been married for over 12 years and we as a family have had a number of pets...cats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits. Currently we have one hymilayan cat named Lacey ( her buddy Gwen died recently), and 3 wonderful piggies.
We will start with Sugar. She has been with us about 2 months. She is about 5-6 months old. She was my pet store buy, before I really knew better. I know, I know, I know. I keep kicking myself for that one, but she is the sweetest, cuddliest piggie I have ever handled. She is actually my 8 yo's piggie...She was actually earned. He had been asking for a pig for about a year. Really showed some interest, along with me. He did his research, read stuff on the internet, learned what they needed to eat, etc. Then my hubby came up with something that all of us were ready for. You see, my son's eating habits leave a lot to be desired. He is VERY picky. Charles came up with an agreement between him and us that he would eat everything on his plate for 10 days straight. There were a few other stipulations and stuff, but it took him more than 2 months to succeed. But succeed he did and we went shopping. Sorry, that got really long. Anyway, Sugar is a complete sweetheart. She is a Pink Eyed White (store told us albino, but we learned otherwise) or PEW for short. She is also crested. We only got the one that day because she was getting picked on by the other females that they had. Didn't want to bring that home, even though a change in cages would have probably changed that problem, seeing as they were kept in a tiny cage. In all the research that we helped my son with, we never came across this or guinea lynx, and didn't know a thing about C&C cages. So, she came home to a tiny, pre-exsiting cage that we had, actually an aquariam (everybody gasp!). She also had an eye infection (hmmmmm). I could tell right away that the "cage" was not going to work, even temporarily. We found the C&C cage stuff and got the new 2x5 with a 1x2 loft and a 1x2 extension on one side (if that makes ANY sense at all)finished and her moved in.
Then we added Belle and Daisy to the herd. We brought them home 3 weeks ago today. They were 4 weeks old and tiny. The divider that i had put in the cage did not keep them confined to their side. Belle is a short smooth coat with a crest. White with a grey patch on her left eye. Daisy is an abby with white and grey coloring. The group got along almost immediately. (my son didn't see anything about keeping them seperate, and neither did I...I guess we didn't do as much research as we thought) We have been lucky so far though. I can't change the fact that we introduced them before we should have, so that's water under the bridge.
Belle is a whiner. She is constantly squeaking when I hold her. I'm not sure if she doesn't like to be held or what. She still does it, after 3 weeks.
Daisy is a purrer (I don't know if that is even a word?!) She seems to like being held and purrs alot. Or maybe i'm misunderstanding what she is doing. I don't know for sure.
Ok, that got really long, i'm sorry. I guess i'm one of those story teller people. So, fudge brownies to anyone who got this far. Thanks for listening.
