Smile Hi again with new adoptees

Hi all,

Since last post, I have decided to get a friend for my lonesome baby girl and after some researching, I have adopted from my Local specialised cavy organisation called ACS (Australian Cavy Sanctuary).

Freckles is a 7 mths old sow. Dutch (Orange, white with smudges of black on her face and rump). She has black whiskers on one side of her face and then orange whiskers on the other side. Also have those pastel orange lips. For me, she has very mesmerising eyes.

Angel, I just got her yesterday. She is a 2 yrs + Himalayan sow. Lovely floppy ears, choccy nose and fat piggy fingers.

I only have enough space to keep 3 piggies max. So last girl has to be spesh and himilayans is my fav breed.

I got Freckles as a mate to my little 3 mth old Poopy. Poopy were very naughty and always harassing Freckles. Freckles bit her several times on the rump but Poopy still not afraid of hers and continue to rumblestrut ALL the time.

Angel, even after one day, has proven to be the BOSS P of the house right now. She gave Poopy a big bite on the rump (which I have tend to with betadine) during the "get to know you" session yesterday, and both of them are so scared of her, they now behave around her...Bless her heart.

Here is a picture of them in my bathtub (so called neutral zone) with some hay and food and getting to know each other while I was making sure their cage is spanking everything new and clean and doesnt smell like any piggy has been there.

Right now, more than halfway into the second day, Angel is settling well, Himis sure makes alot of noises don't they? And my very naughty baby girl is being kept in line very well. I hope they get along together. Fingers crossed.

Oh, I am making a bigger more comfy cage for them too.
