Unless you have A LOT of time on your hands to spend with your pig, you need to get a second one. Search Craigslist, Kijji, local shelters and search online for Guinea Pig rescues nearby.

i am new aswell,
i just got my 2 month old baby piggie, who is ironicley named piglet
he is very sweet,wich i heard is rare for guinea pigs,my last piggie wasnt very social. piglets favorite foods are carrots and hay.his cage is about 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 and i really want to add another level for him, but i do not know how, if nyone has any info please tell me
p.s the brand of his cage is marchioro and it is wire :P

Another level is not really going to help. Your cage is too tiny.

You need to look at the main page and build a C&C.
