Hello, new to posting...

Hello, I have been visiting this site and doing a lot of reading for a few months now, and I decided to register today! I already posted in the medical forum with a question about one of my piggies.
I have three female guinea pigs, Hope, Jesper, and Anders. I have had all three of them for about four years now. I am in the process of building a c&c cage (just need to find coroplast!), but they have had the largest store cages I could find with lots of extra floor exercise time. Hope has a separate cage from Jesper and Anders because Hope tends to get a little nervous when she is with the other pigs. I adopted Hope from a rescue, and they said they rescued her from an abuse situation where a breeder abandoned her pigs and many of them died before they were found. I am assuming they were also over-crowded because the edges of Hope's ears are all chewed off. Hope does enjoy sharing floor time with Anders though (Jesper is a bit too pushy for her, so we rotate "play groups") as long as she can go back to her own cage.
I am very much into animal rights and animal rescue, and am also a vegetarian. I have talked with a local small animal rescue about the possibility of fostering Guinea Pigs, I am just not sure if I would be able to give them up when they found a home. Does anyone here foster?

We used plie wood and 2x4s for the base then covered it with peel and stick tile. Then sat the cage in side of it it works great b/c I use fleece for bedding and I just sat the cage on top of it and the fleece dose not move like it would if it was on coroplast! And wood is pretty cheep I would think compared to coroplast I couldnt find coroplast anywhere around where I live.

This is a link for plie wood bases....hope it helps
